ImageRegionSelector Bean Requirements

The ImageRegionSelector Bean requires Java 1.1, so applets made with this Bean, including code samples included with this documentation, require a Java 1.1-compatible browser. You can also use the JDK 1.1 AppletViewer to view Java 1.1 applets. Similarly, Java applications that use this Bean require a Java 1.1-compatible Java Virtual Machine

The ImageRegionSelector Bean also requires the Java Foundation Classes (also known as JFC or Swing) 1.0.3.

ImageRegionSelector sample applets require Netscape 4.06, or higher, or Internet Explorer 4.01, or higher to function correctly. They also assume that the swing.jar (from Swing 1.0.3) is in your CLASSPATH.

The ImageRegionSelector bean has been tested in these environments:

  Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 95, with JDK 1.1.6 and Swing 1.0.3
  OS/2 Warp 4, with JDK 1.1.6 and Swing 1.0.3.
  Java Plug-in 1.1.2.
