1. A Brief Description

Applications, most often employed by the user, can be quickly launched
from the task bar.
Recently opened files, associated with programs that are frequently
used, and desktop elements can be easily accessed.
Programs can be run on remote computers located in a LAN (requires
TCP/IP).

2. Installation.

IMPORTANT! If you've got RRocket not from my web page, but from the other
source (magazine CD or some software library), please visit my home
page - you'll probably find the later version;

It is recommended that older versions of the RRocket program installed
on your computer be deleted.

To install the application it is necessary to:
  1. Unpack the obtained archive.
  2. Run Setup.exe.
  3. Follow the program's installation instructions.

3. Working with the application

The main function of running the application is executed by the
RRocket.exe program. In accordance with the configuration (see below),
the program places icons in the task bar for the applications selected
by the user.
To run an application click the left key of the mouse once
or twice on the corresponding icon. If the right key of the mouse is
clicked on an icon, a pop-up menu will appear on the screen containing
the RRocket Configuration and Close menu items.
If there are several types of files associated with a program, the
menu will also indicate the last files of that type which were active.
Desktop elements are listed in the desktop menu.
There is a links to early opened files in the icon "Documents". These
documents are grouped according to assosiated programs.

4. Remote startup

To run programs on a remote computer (in a LAN), RRocket and TCP/IP
should be installed on a minimum of two computers: on the computer
where the necessary program should be run for the user (the server), and
on the computer from where this program will run (the client).

On the server, with the help of the configuration program, the
corresponding application should be added to the list of RRocket
applications, and in the application's properties the item, Description,
should be defined. Additionally, it is necessary to set up the Allow
For Remote Startup option.

On the client computer it is necessary to add the application as a
remote one, and in its properties define the Description of the Remote
Computer item, which should correspond with the description on the
server. The remote computer's IP address and the port for the RRocket
application on the server should also be determined.

To successfully run the application on a remote computer, it is
necessary to indicate different user names when installing RRocket on
the client and server computers.

5. Configuration

The application allows the user to place up to 20 icons, corresponding
to various applications, on the task bar. To specify which applications
will run from the task bar the configuration program, Rconfig.exe, is
used. This program allows the user to adjust the parameters of the
chosen applications (the Applications bookmark), change RRocket's
program settings (the General bookmark), and configure the settings of
the remote setup (the Remote Setup Settings bookmark).

In the Applications bookmark it is possible to:
  1. Add an application to the list (local or remote).
  2. Delete an application from the list.
  3. Change the order of the applications on the list.

In the properties of the applications from the list the user can:
  1. Change the working directory of applications for the local
     applications.
  2. Change the initial appearance of the application's main window.
  3. Define the parameters of the application's command line.
  4. Define a subscript for each application.

For remote applications, adjust the IP address of the computer through
which the application should be run, and change the description of the
application, the port, etc.

In the General bookmark the following options are possible:
  1. Run RRocket at the start of Windows.
  2. Display the subscript for the desktop in the task bar.
  3. Display the descriptions of the applications' subscripts.
  4. Click once to run an application.
  5. Display "Documents" icon in the task bar.
  6. Append to application icon menu list of assosiated documents.

If you enjoyed working with RRocket, the program may be registered for
in the General bookmark.

If you use RRocket for start of applications on the remote computer
that on a bookmark "Remote start program settings" you can change a port
TCP/IP of the application RRocket, used as the server and to permit or
to prohibit the remote start on this computer.

6. Configuration for the several users.

If on one computer some users work and each user has the system of
customizations, the configuration of the "RRocket" application will be for
everyone.
For this purpose each user should install the application after will
enter the system under the name. Whether thus the installation program
determines the application on the given computer whether or not installed
already, and in case it will be revealed, that the application was already
installed by other user, it will be offered to create only new configuration.
The configurations of all users are independent from each other.
