For Microsoft all naming entries for English, American should be available. Additional language strings may be added, but are not necassary.

The Font Familiy name will appear as the fontname when you select a font in a word processing program etc... In order to install a font, you have to be sure this name is unique for your system's installed fonts.

When selected the Microsoft Platform and language English, American, you can also go to the advanced Naming where you can enter some specific Font vendor and designer descriptions.
