(version features and limitations are detailed
 in "manual-eval.rtf" file)

CheckPOP LL is an e-mail utility that monitors a POP3
mailbox for the arrival of new mail. This "LL" variant
of CheckPOP is for use on LANs (Local Area Networks)
or where the POP mail server holding the mail account
is reachable through a permanent network connection
(LAN, WAN, Leased Line). The software is intended
mainly for organisations that wish to easily deploy
and maintain effective new mail notification software
operating on a large quantity of desktops or
workstations.

o Configuration protection
o APOP secure login
o Audio and visual notifications
o Auto-configuration
o Supports all e-mail clients

OVERVIEW

The software resides in the system tray, periodically
checking the POP3 account that is detailed in the
configuration and notifying the arrival of new e-mail.
Available audio and visual notifications include
the displaying of an alert dialog, sounding of an
announcement, the playing of an alarm until
acknowledged and a flashing tray icon. The alert
dialog pops-up on the user's screen when new mail
arrives and lists from whom mail is from and the

alarm and announcement to the period between
repeating the alarm wave file. Running multiple
instance of the software allows the support of
multiple mail accounts. Configuration information
is stored in a per-user INI file and defaults can
be set in the system registry. Supports MIME
decoding of mail item headers and APOP secure login.
