	Introduction
	------------

	Alive is a utility that fools your internet service provider into
	thinking that you are busy surfing the web. Usually, ISP's
	disconnect users if they are not active for a period of time (around
	10 to 15 minutes). If this happens to you a lot then you can use
	Alive to stop it.

	Running
	-------

	You can run Alive from the Start->Programs folder where you put it
	in the installation.

	When Alive starts, it will display a small globe in the taskbar.
	Click on the globe to get the main user window. Clicking on it again
	will hide the window.

	Adding Servers
	--------------

	To install servers and modify them:

		Click on the More button (this will reveal an extra panel)
		Click on the Name box and type in a name
		Click on the Host box and type in a host name

		examples:

			name = Microsoft
			host = www.microsoft.com

			name = IBM
			host = www.ibm.com:123

		Click on Add

	The entry will now appear in the Server List.

	You only need one server entry to start the program. But you can put
	in as many as you want. Alive will then go through all of them.

	Changing Preferences
	--------------------

	The timing preferences are in the Options box. To access that box
	click on the Options button in the main window.

	To change the look of the toolbar, right click on it.

	Starting
	--------

	Once you have at least one server in the list then you can click the
	Start button to start the loop.

	Alive will now go through the list of all servers and connect to
	them one by one.

	To hide the main window click once on the globe on the taskbar.

	Suggestion & Bugs
	-----------------

	I would appreciate any constructive criticism about Alive such as
	bug reports and improvements. Please send it to:

	Alive has gone shareware! Yes, Alive is now "nag-free" shareware. You
	get to try it out for as long as you want.

	The reason for this change is that the coding has been taking up a
	lot of my time (far more then I have expected).

	The version that is distributed is the FULL version. Registering will
	only help me out. The program isn't crippled and it doesn't stop
	working after 30 days.

/ History /
///////////

	Version 1.52

		Fixed:	Proxy settings bug.

	Version 1.51

		Added:	Small interface changes.

		Fixed:	Some people have been getting "timeouts" a lot. This
			should be fixed in this version.

	Version 1.5

		Added:	Interface changes. Proxy support was added. Option to
			stop Alive automatically after a period of time and
			show up a popup window.

	Version 1.4

		Added:	Port support. Remember to use spaces between the host
			name and the colon. Example "www.host.com : 80" NOT
			"www.host.com:80".

		Fixed:	Stability issues which arose when Alive was running
			for a long time.

	Version 1.36

		Added:	Options - Checkbox for "Dial-Up Networking" check.
			(this is for people who are using a different
			dialer program and have experienced the OFFLINE
			message).

	Version 1.35

		Added:	Doesn't bring up the internet connection box anymore.
			Now the host list can be edited when alive is pinging.
			I changed this back and added some safety code so
			that even if the last server is deleted, alive
			will not give any weird errors.

		Fixed:	Minor user interface problems were fixed.
			The main window can now be closed using the (X)
			button on top without closing Alive entirely. Should
			have fixed that one sooner but ...

	Version 1.3

		Added:	Editing of the server list is now not permited when
			start has been pressed. This is to prevent deletion
			of servers.

		Fixed:	The focus problem. (Main window was no on top)
			Windows now closes. No need to shutdown Alive first.
