NEWS:

YATL no longer nags! Even though we're still shareware, we no
longer bug you about registering our product. We want you to
try YATL for 21 days without the restriction of being nagged. We
believe in the product enough to know that those of you who use
YATL will register it. At only $10, not only is it an excellent
utility, it's also an inexpensive one.

OVERVIEW:

The Start menu was a good try. One centralized location for all of your
applications. Problem is you have to go two or more menus deep to find
what you're looking for. With Yet Another Tray Launcher 99 (YATL), it's
all available with one click of the button. Eight menus, all completely
configurable, all with one click.

To move applications to YATL, start off with our AutoScan utility. We
offer to put often used utilities and files on the menus for you. And
to make adding more items easy to do, our configuration utility supports
drag and drop, the right mouse button, cut/copy/paste, and includes our
new Import Wizard.

Something the Start menu doesn't do is offer a way to edit a file.
When you add a filename to a YATL menu, and you indicate you always want
it edited, we'll do our darnest to edit it. We'll search the registry
for an association to edit that file. If we can't find an association,
then we'll open the file in your editor of choice.

To get started quickly, simply run Setup.exe to install YATL on
your computer. Once installed, you are ready to use it! A shortcut to the
system tray application will be created in your Startup folder and will
launch YATL each time you boot your system. Our AutoScan utility will
launch automatically, allowing you to quickly configure YATL.

Also included is BatchSpeak. This new utility provides a comprehensive
set of batch commands to copy and delete files, edit the registry,
display basic user interface elements and retreive input, read and
write files, and more.

For information on how to configure, register and get the most out
of YATL, double-click the YATL Help icon, or click the Help button
inside of YATLCFG.exe.

**********NOTE TO USERS UPGRADING A PREVIOUS VERSION OF YATL!!!****
Do NOT remove your previous version of YATL before
installing this version. Uninstalling the previous
YATL will remove all of your existing YATL settings!

New for YATL 3.20:

+ Added BatchSpeak. This new utility provides a comprehensive set
of batch commands to copy and delete files, edit the registry,
display basic user interface elements and retreive input, read
and write files, and more.

+ Numerous bugfixes and performance enhancements.

+ YATL is now nag-free shareware.

New for YATL 3.10:

+ Added support for easily adding folders to your YATL menus.
When adding a new item in the YATL configuration program, you may
now choose to add a folder or a standard item. Adding a folder
allows you to pick a folder that will open in an Explorer window
when you choose it in a menu. In the same configuration window,
you can also set whether to launch Explorer with two panes or
one, and whether to set the folder as the root of the view.

+ Added support to add and launch .LNK files without resolving
them. This means that if you make modifications to the original
LNK file, those same changes will take effect when you launch the
item from your YATL menus.

New for YATL 3.02:

+ Fixed handling of paths containing "%windir% on Windows NT systems

+ Fixed handling command lines that contain double quotes: "

+ YATLDead no longer tries to delete items that use a UNC path (i.e.
items that look like "\\Netdrive\Documents\MyFile.doc")

+ YATL menus and the YATL configuration program now display the
correct icons for items using UNC paths

+ New icon for the YATL tray program and the YATL configuration
program.

New for YATL 3.01:

+ YATLDead no longer deletes .URL files in menus.

+ Fixed handling of paths to items that contain the Windows NT system
path variable %SystemRoot%

+ Fixed launching Control Panel items from the YATL configuration
utility in Windows NT.

+ No longer add the "Edit All Users Start Menu" when autoscanning Windows
95 and 98 systems.

+ Changed which key modifiers are used for each of the default
YATL menus created by the install.

New for YATL 3.0:

+ YATLStrt.exe - Start Menu Synchronizer automatically scans your Windows
Start menu for shortcuts that are not in your YATL menus and allows you
to quickly add them. Any items you choose not to add are ignored in
future scans.

+ YATLDead.exe - Dead Item Scanner searches through your YATL menus and
locates any items that are missing on your computer. It then prompts
you to remove those items if you wish.

+ Scan Autotimers - Schedule the Start Menu Synchronizer and Dead Item
Scanner to run as often as you'd like.

+ DUAssist.exe - Dial-Up Networking Assistant allows you to easily connect
to the Internet. Run DUAssist by itself for a list of all the current
DUN connections you have created, or specify the connection name as the
command line parameter and that DUN connection will automatically be
launched.

+ DExplorer.exe - Double Explorer tiles two Explorer views, either
horizontally (the default) or vertically (when run with the '/v' command
line parameter). This gives you File Manager type functionality.

+ New YATL Tools - YATL includes a handfull of small programs to
help you add common functionality items to your menus. These items
include actions like activating the current screen saver, emptying
the recycle bin (Microsoft Internet Explorer 4 w/ Active Dekstop
users only), and formatting diskettes.

+ Windows Explorer Integration - Add items to your YATL menus simply
by right clicking on them while browsing in Windows Explorer and
choosing "Add to YATL Menu"

+ Icon Support - YATL now shows the icons for all files in it's
configuration program's tree view and system tray application menus.

+ Single-Click Support - If only one item exists in a particular menu,
then that menu item can be directly accessed from the tray icon. Just
hold down the modifier for that menu, and then click on the tray icon,
and the menu item will launch instead of showing the single-item menu!

+ Improved Scanning - Now you can better customize the scanning process,
choosing which items to scan for, and which menus you want scanned
items to go into.

+ Improved Drag and Drop Support - Now YATL98.exe supports drag and
drop better, resolving shortcuts (.LNK files) by default.

+ Import Wizard - YATL98.exe includes the new Import Wizard, which, like
drag and drop, allows you to quickly add multiple items to YATL menus.

+ Improved Interface - The YATL98.EXE interface has been completely
overhauled from the old System Space Tray Launcher days, and is now
easier to use, easier on the eyes, and more robust than ever before.

+ Command Line Parameter Prompting - Now you can tag menu items
so that they will prompt for command line parameters when launched.

+ Menu Item Caching - Now all menu items are cached when the tray
icon is running, which means they are only loaded when the tray
icon is initially run, or when you change the menus. This means
the menus will display very quickly, even on slower computers.

YATL is a living product. The heart of it is simplicity and
its feature set. One of its features is its AutoScan application.
