Stop searching for deeply hidden system folders like Startup menu, temporary or send-to
folder. Quick has them all together in a hotkey-accessible
menu.
Quick is now even quicker! The graphics are now included, hence the menu opens faster! To the 14 system folder and 14 tools to select, we
have added 12 additional commands: hide/unhide
or minimize/unminimize all windows, clear history lists, start screen saver,
initiate standby, shutdown, restart, power
off, log off, restart shell, and all
12Ghosts!

This is the left half of the QuickStart menu.
• Change the sequence of buttons in the taskbar:
Activate applications in the order you'd like them to appear, start Quick, select
"Hide all Windows", then "Unhide Windows", é violà!
• Additionaly, you can change the position of the
system folders
• Selected the first key displayed when you start
RegEdit through PACT Quick.
• You can open (!) your desktop
• The Run command has been extended and you can
delete single entries in the Run history.
• Taskbar tray icon and hotkey.
• Support for /s on the command line. With /s
or /silent specified in a shortcut, the menu
is not displayed, just the icon will appear in the taskbar tray. In other words, as long
as no "/s" is specified, the QuickStart menu opens immediately.
• You can now move the FlyingIcon™ per arrow
keys (if it has the focus after a move, click or a doubleclick).
Known Issues
· Some standard folders may not be set up correctly or
not at all on your system. You can change all according paths through Settings.
· All Useres folder is only present on Windows 98 or NT.
· MS Paint and other accessories may not be installed on
your computer.
How to Set up the System Paths
Click with the right mouse button on the Quick icon and select Settings. You can verify
and change the system folder settings. Remember, that these folders are currently in
use by Windows! Note, if you make changes here Windows may not start or behave
unpredictable!
You need log off and back on for the changes to take effect.
You can set the first key when starting RegEdit through Quick. The registry key is FirstRegKey.
You'll find it under
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PACT Software\Quick
and it excepts just the full regkey path as you get it by right-clicking on any key and
select Copy Key Name. If you don't like this feature all together you can specify nothing,
an empty string "", but keep the value itself.
You might also want to try PACT JumpReg to create shortcuts
to registry keys and jump directly to user defined registry keys!
