 Requirements
--------------

IBM PC or compatible (386, 486, Pentium, or better)
Microsoft(R) Windows(R) 95/98/NT 4 or later

You must have this version (or later) of the Microsoft Windows system DLL:

comctl32.dll - MS Common Controls DLL
                     (version: 4.70 or later,
available with Internet Explorer 3.0 or later,
or as a separate update in 40comupd.exe)

If you have an older version of COMCTL32.DLL, Alarm++ will display a
message when you start it. You can then either install Internet
Explorer 3.0 or later or you can download an update from our site
or from Microsoft's. The update file is named 40comupd.exe.

Microsoft licensing agreements prohibit us from distributing this
   file with our products.

---------
 Install
---------

   1. Create a temporary folder.
   2. Unzip the ZIP file into the temporary folder.
   3. Run Setup.exe and follow the instructions.

If you are updating a previous installation, be sure to select the
existing Alarm++ folder when Setup prompts you for an installation
      folder.

Using Alarm++ documents created by previous versions of Alarm++ for Windows:

Alarm++ for Windows version 3.00 and later automatically converts older
alarm database files when you open them for the first time.

However, if you have data from Alarm++ version 1.x or 2.x (16-bit), you will
need to manually enter your alarms again. Newer versions of Alarm++ cannot
read the data stored in the alarm.ini file.
