Pretty Good Solitaire 98 is a collection of 230 solitaire
games, from classic games like Klondike, FreeCell, and
Spider, to 22 original games invented especially for
the program.

Pretty Good Solitaire 98 is a 32-bit program for Windows
95 and NT.  It will not run under Windows 3.1.  A 16-bit
program that has many of the same features as this
program, Pretty Good Solitaire 2.2a, is also available.

FOR WINDOWS NT USERS --
Pretty Good Solitaire 98 requires at least NT 4.0 Service
Pack 3.


              -- INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS --

Run the program SETUP.EXE.


                -- RUNNING THE PROGRAM --

To run the games, run the file GOODSOL98.EXE.  To play
a particular game, click on its name on the main screen.
To see the rules for a particular game, goto the help
menu or press F1.  In most games, the cards can be
moved by drag and drop.  Also, to quickly move a card,
try right-clicking on the card.  For a guide on how to
use Pretty Good Solitaire, read the tips provided by the
program at startup.

This program is shareware.  Continued use of Pretty Good
Solitaire beyond a 30-day evaluation period requires 
registration.  Registration will bring you instructions on
how to get rid of the registration reminder screens and
other benefits (see the help file). Some features of this
program will be disabled after the 30 day trial period and
you must register to continue use.  The 30 day trial period
is calculated based on days that the program is actually
used.  A day only counts in the total if the program has 
been run on that day.  To order, print out the

Registered users of Pretty Good Solitaire 97 can upgrade
to this version for free.  If Pretty Good Solitaire 98
detects a registered version of PGS97 on your system,
it will convert your settings and statistics into PGS98
for you if you choose.  If you are a registered user of
PGS97 and PGS98 does not detect your registration, send
your PGS97 registration information (name, address, 
email, registration code) to orders@goodsol.com for
your update.
