INSTALLATION
===============================

You must unzip this zip file using a utility that supports LONG FILE NAMES. If your zip
utility does not support long file names, then the setup program will not be able to install
EFIS properly. You can get a zip utility that supports long file names at:
http://www.winzip.com

If you have a previous installation of EFIS v2, you MUST uninstall it before installing
this version. To uninstall, go to Windows Control Panel and use Add/Remove programs. You
will then be able to install this version into the same directory as your old copy. Make
sure you keep a backup of all your added/modified files.

Unzip the contents of the zip file into a temporary directory, and then run setup.exe.

HOW DO I START LEARNING TO FLY USING EFIS?
===========================================

EFIS comes with 3 lessons on how to fly using EFIS v2.4. The lessons are located in the
Manuals directory. Please be sure to take your time in learning EFIS. You should NOT
expect to learn how to use EFIS from 1 or 2 flights - you should fly the example routes
as many times as you need to in order to be sure that you are familiar with the operation
of the program, and feel confident about progressing to further lessons. Please do NOT
fly Lessons 2 and 3 until you are sure you understand the concepts covered in Lesson 1.

===========================================
WHAT IF THERE IS A PROBLEM?
===========================================

EFIS requires Visual Basic 5 Runtime files to be installed on your computer. If you have
not got them, you will need to install them before running EFIS. They can be found in
vb5run.zip, available at most of the usual flight simulator sites, as well as at my website
(see top of this file for the web address).

EFIS also requires FS6IPC.DLL to be present in your FS98\Modules directory. If you have not
got this file, it can be obtained at the usual flight simulator sites as fs6ipc61.zip, as
well as at my website (see top of this file for the web address).

If you attempt to run EFIS without FS6IPC.DLL installed in your FS98\Modules directory,
EFIS will not work properly.
