PRA1610.ZIP. (The archive file extension will of course
change if you use a different archiving utility.)

  INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
  =========================
The Project Risk Analysis package is usually distributed as a
ZIP file called PRA1610.ZIP. Copy this to a temporary
directory and unzip it. This will give you the files listed
above, except that the manual will be in its own ZIP file
called PRABOOK.ZIP. This is because the file PRABOOK.DOC is
over 15 Mb in size and it may cause problems to suddenly have
    such a large file appearing.

From the Windows program manager select File|Run and then
Browse to wherever you have the unzipped PRA package. Select
"INSTALL.EXE" and run it. This will guide you through the
    installation procedure.

The default directory for the PRA files is C:\PROJRISK, but
the installation procedure will allow you to change this
before it copies the files. After the files are copied the
installation procedure will create a new program group in the
Program Manager and will create icons for PRA and some of its
    support files.

To run PRA simply select the RISK ANALYSIS group and then the
    Project Risk Analysis icon.

  DETAILED INSTRUCTION MANUAL
  ===========================
The detailed reference manual and tutorials for PRA are
included in the distribution file in the form of a Word for
Windows v6.0 file called PRABOOK.DOC. If you do not have a
copy of Word you can download a free copy of Microsoft's
WordViewer from the Microsoft homesite at www.microsoft.com.

Load PRABOOK.DOC and follow the formatting and printing
instructions on the first page. The manual contains about 65
    pages.

  REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS
  =========================
PRA is distributed as Shareware. This means you are free to
use this copy of PRA for 30 days to determine its value and
usefulness to you. The evaluation version of PRA contains the
full functionality of the registered version. During your 30
day trial period the program will advise you how many days you
have remaining. At the end of the trial period the program
will no longer allow you to perform analyses, but will still
give you access to your raw data.

Only if you find PRA to be worth the asking price do you
register and pay. If PRA does not meet your needs or
standards then it has cost you nothing and you simply delete
it from your disk. The manual and the on-line help screens
contain more information on shareware for those new to this
    system of software distribution.

PRA can be bought either as a single-user system for US$ 80.00
or as a multi-user site licence for US$ 250.00 (or the
    equivalents in SA Rands).

When you register you can pay by credit card or check. Full
details of the registration process are included in the manual
and in the help files within the programme. Orders can be
placed locally in the USA, the UK, Germany, Australia and in
    South Africa.

When you register, you will be given a password which will
convert your evaluation version to the full version without
time limits. The password will work with all upgrades
released within 12 months of original purchase. If you pay by
credit card you can receive your password almost immediately.

  SHAREWARE DISTRIBUTORS
  ======================
We are most grateful to the distributors of shareware who help
us to get PRA widely known. Any bona fide distributor of
shareware (including WWW site operators, disk distributors,
BBS operators, computer clubs, magazines on or enclosing disks
and CD-ROM manufacturers) are welcome to include PRA in their
range, subject to the following requirements :-

    - The package must include all the files listed in this
document. If they are compressed into an archive please
use the naming convention given with the list of files
         above.

    - None of the files listed above may be modified in any
way. (Except to add a "Supplied by 'XYZ Company'" notice
at the end of the README.TXT or PRABOOK.DOC files.)

    - You are welcome to add other files for the purposes of
providing a menu or automatic archive extraction, or to
         identify yourself as the distributor.

    - PRA may be included on a disk with any other product,
provided that it is made clear that any payment for that
other product is not for PRA.

    - No price or other compensation may be charged for PRA.
Any charge for an evaluation disk (floppy or CD-ROM) must
be clearly identified as being for the disk and not for
         the software on it.

    - Any advertisements, catalogues or other literature must
point out that shareware requires separate payment to the
author if regular use is made of the product.

    - We would like distributors to have the most up to date
versions. If you would like us to keep you informed of
any upgrades contact us at the address at the top of this
         file.
