Text Buttons Copyright (C) Moose O'Malley,
------------- March 1998.

Text Buttons for Windows 3.1, 3.11, 95, NT.

Text Buttons enables you to place often used sections of
text behind any of 10 buttons so that it is very easily
and quickly obtainable when required.

How many times have you had to load up a document just to cut
the same piece of text out over and over again ?

How many times have you cursed Microsoft Exchange because it
doesn't handle EMail SIGs ?

Text Buttons is a great way to solve these and other headaches !

Text Buttons can also be used as a notebook to keep frequently
used information - such as Task Lists and To Do Lists - even
if this information is not often required for copying and
pasting.

Developed using 16-bit Delphi.

Using Text Buttons :
--------------------

To use Text Buttons, simply click on one of the ten buttons, and
one of 2 things will happen :
- If the button is already setup, then the text it contains
will be automatically copied to the WIndows Clipboard - ready
  for use.
- Or, if the button is not already defined, you will be taken to
a setup screen where you will be able to define the button's
  label and contents.
- To change or erase the definition of a button, simply click
on the "S" icon next to the button. (If this icon is not
visible, simply select the "Show Button Setup Icons" option
under the File menu, or resize the main window manually to
reveal the Setup icons adjacent to each button).

If the "Auto-Minimise after Button Press" (under the File menu)
is checked, then Text Buttons will auto-minimise itself once a
button is pressed - to get it out of the way so you can
continue working straight away. (Registered Users Only).

Limitations / Restrictions of the Shareware version :
-----------------------------------------------------

The Shareware version of this program has the following
limitations / restrictions :

- Only the first 2 Text Buttons are available for use.
- The "Auto-Minimise after Button Press" option (under
the File menu) will not work.
- The program will not save its settings on Windows Shutdown,
but it will still save its settings when you manually exit /
close the program - just not when Windows terminates the program.
- A "Shareware" label is displayed in the Menu area of Text Buttons.
- Every now and then a "You have used this program xxx times,
Please Register" message will appear on program startup.

To remove all the limitaions of the shareware version,
please Register.

The Future :
------------

In the future, many improvements could be made to this program,
such as :
- Enable the program to link to a file instead of having to enter
the text into the edit window for each button. This means that
files that change will always have their latest definitions
  available in Text Buttons.
- Enable the program to work with other types of data, such as
  pictures, sounds, video, etc.
- Make Text Buttons reside on the Windows 95 / NT tray bar.
- Add in more than 10 buttons.

If you would like any of these improvements, or would like to
suggest more, please email me and let me know.

How much more work I do on this program depends entirely on
what support I get, how many people use the program, how many
people have registered, etc.

Sharware Information :
----------------------

This is NOT free software. This product is shareware.

But, it only costs $5 (FIVE) dollars to buy !

This means that you can try out the software for evaluation
purposes without charge for a period of 21 days to enable you
to decide whether to purchase / register it.

If you use this software after the 21 day evaluation period
a registration fee is required. See the Registration Form
in the file register.txt.

Unregistered use of this software after the 21-day evaluation
period is in violation of U.S. and international copyright laws.

If you do not purchase / register the software after the 21 day
trial period, then you must delete it from your system.

In order to encourage me to develop this software and keep
developing other software, I encourage you to do the right
thing and register the software.

I could have easily have made the programs nag you to Register,
or expire after 21 days of use, but I do not like this approach.

From April 97 on, however, some of the new functionality being
added to my programs will be available for Registered users only.
I tried to avoid doing this, but now I have been forced to do
this to try and encourage some Registrations.

I live in the hope that if people use the programs, then they
will register them.

Registered users will receive FREE upgrades of the program for
the life of the program. i.e. as long as I keep improving the
program, registered users will get this new / additional
functionality for FREE.

To Register, please complete the Registration Form in
the file register.txt.
