SUMMARY

A utility designed to split large files into smaller files so that they can
be placed on floppy disks, or making downloadable files for users with
slow modems. You can also split and merge files from the Explorer Context
Menu.

REQUIREMENTS

Requires Windows 95 or Windows NT 4.0.

INSTALLATION

1. Extract the archive using a ZIP decompression utility into a temporary
   directory. (C:\Windows\Temp is recommended).
2. Run SETUP.EXE. The SETUP program will lead you through the setup
   process.
3. After SETUP completes, you can safely delete the files in the temporary
   directory.

UN-INSTALLATION

1. Click the Start Menu. Point to Settings, then Control Panel.
2. Double-click on Add/Remove Programs.
3. Under the Install/Uninstall tab, select FileSplit in the list and click
   Add/Remove.
4. You will be asked if you want to uninstall FileSplit. Click Yes.

RESTRICTIONS

The shareware version of FileSplit will only split files that are less than
or equal to 5 MB in size. However, this version will merge files of any
size.

DISTRIBUTION

You may freely distribute the product to anyone as long as no alterations
are made to the files.

REGISTRATION

You are entitled to a 30-day trial period so that you may evaluate this
product. If you continue to use program after the trial period, you must
register. If you do not register after the trial period, you must
discontinue use and remove it from your computer. (To remove it, follow the
directions under UN-INSTALLATION above.)

Registration is $10 (US dollars).

To register, send a check or money order in the amount of $10.00, along
with your name, address, and e-mail address, to:

You will be sent a registration code that will convert the shareware
version of FileSplit into a registered version. Your registration code will
be sent to you via e-mail. Registration codes will no longer be sent via
postal mail.

If you don't have an e-mail address, you can get one from several of the
free e-mail services available on the Internet. Listed below are just a few

If you provided a fax number, your registration code will be sent via fax.

Listed below are the steps to convert the shareware version into a
registered version.

1. Run FileSplit. When the About box is displayed, click on the Register
   button.
2. Enter the Name and Code in the registration dialog EXACTLY as shown in
   the information sent to you.
3. Click the OK button to complete the registration process.
