
Unreal Player will select the optimum settings for you, but in some cases manual settings will be required to improve the performance.
Unreal Player will store the output in sound buffer before sending it to soundcard. Its length will affect the performance greatly. If it is too long, it will be CPU intensive. If it is too short the sound will break off awkwardly.
Sound device represents you soundcard. You can play multiple songs at once if your soundcard provides multiple sound devices.
You can select sound devices and mixer here. Select "assign free device" if you like to play multiple songs at once. Don't choose "assign free device" if you are using YAMAHA soundcard.
