1. Before you install

Make sure your Microsoft TCP/IP is configured and working on your Windows
95 or NT PC. Make sure you can ping your UNIX system using its IP address
or Hostname. Make sure you have 2MB of free disk space. Make sure you
know the IP address and hostname of your UNIX systems.

2. Installation

- Click  Windows 95/NT  "Start" button.

- Click  "Run" button.

- Type  <temp directory>/SETUP.EXE and click "OK"
  where <temp directory> is the name of the temporary directory where
  you have unzipped the VT420 files.

- Answer the installation questions as prompted.

3. Basic Usage
 From the VT420 Program Group
- run the Hostedit program to define your UNIX systems.
- click on the icon for VT420.
- select your HOST from the list or type in its IP address or hostname.
- your login prompt should appear. Set options from the pull down menus.
