                         Keep it Compact 2.1
===========================================================================

Introduction
============
Keep it Compact (KiC) is a program for cataloging your music collection.
It catalogues music on various formats (CD, LP, MiniDisc, etc...) and has
extra features for quick entry of CDs (it scans CDs in your CD-ROM drive
and retrieves title info from CDDB servers on the internet)).
The albums in the database are displayed in a flexible, Explorer-like
screen, letting you group, sort and filter the data in every possible way.
It has a very comprehensive set of fields, including user-defined fields,
for both albums and tracks, enabling you to catalogue all information you
want. Lists of albums or tracks can be printed in two different user
configurable reports or exported to delimited text files or HTML tables.
It supports both the MS CD Player and CDValet in that it imports their
databases and exports to their databases.

Shareware
=========
Keep it Compact is shareware. The evaluation version is fully functional, but
limited to 15 albums. If you register you will receive a registration key,
which will remove this limit. The registration fee is 25 US dollars.

The KiC evaluation version may be freely distributed on the Internet,
CompuServe, Bulletin Boards, Cover CDs of magazines, etc... If you include
KiC on a CD-rom or review it in a magazine, I would very much appreciate it
if you would send me a copy.

See "Ordering" from the KiC Help-menu for more info about shareware
and registering KiC.
