MPEG Batch Monitor v0.12
------------------------

This application provides a quick and dirty fix to allow batch processing of MPEG files using Adobe Premiere and Darim's DVMPEG MPEG encoder.

As far as I know this application will only work on Windows NT since it uses the PSAPI.DLL for process monitoring.

The PSAPI.DLL is a redistributable extension to Windows NT which is supplied with the Platform SDK (http://www.microsoft.com/msdn/sdk). It should be placed in the Windows 'System32' directory.

To use the Batch Monitor it:

* Use Premiere to create a batch list of the files you want to convert to MPEG. Save the batch list file.

* Run Batch Monitor. Enter the file name of the temp file which DVMPEG is currently setup to use in the appropriate file. Select 'Load Batch List' from the File menu to load the list of files to convert from the batch list file saved from Premier. The Batch Monitor will derive output filenames for the MPEGs and display them in the list box. Click 'Start'

* Run the batch job from Premiere.

The Batch Monitor will now sit in the background and whenever it detects a new MPEG has been created it will rename it to the filename currently highlighted in its list box. It will then advance to the next file. The user can click on the list at any time to alter which filename is used next. The 'Stop' and 'Start' buttons can be used to toggle whether the monitor is operational or not.
