What's in this readme.txt file
------------------------------
  1. What's new in version 3.0
  2. What's been fixed in version 3.0
  3. If you are upgrading
  4. If you have trouble installing or running Lydia.

1. What's new in version 3.0
----------------------------
  * Improved support for Windows NT.
  * Improved error reporting.
  * Miscellaneous cosmetic changes.
  * Improved header parsing when peeking at a message.
  * Added "Ask before connecting and disconnecting" option to the
    Connection tab in Setup.
  * Added server status checking to ensure that new mail
is actually new for messages with improperly formatted
    date fields.
  * Lydia no longer requires that Dial-Up Networking and
RAS support be installed. If no Dial-Up Networking or RAS
support is found, Lydia will default to a LAN connection.
This is geared for Windows NT users connected via a LAN.
  * Added "Retrieve message body with headers" option. If checked
Lydia will download the body of the message when retrieving
the headers. This speeds up peeking at messages and allows
quoting of the original message when replying.
  * Added signature to outgoing email.
  * Added Reply button to Message Peek window.
  * You can now send attachments with QuickMail.
  * Lydia will no longer display the Incomplete Dial-Up message if
any of the dialup information is missing. The Dial-Up information
is now checked when you select the dialup networking in the
Connection Setup screen. You can enter any missing information
here which will be saved and used when connecting to the Internet.
(If you are upgrading please read section 3)
  * Interval for checking mail can now be set from 1 to 999 minutes.
  * Added Advanced Settings option for accounts to change POP3 port
    and disable ID checking.
  * Added option to "Run on Windows startup". (If you are upgrading
    please see section 3)
  * You can now run your regular email program from the "new mail"
window and from the popup menu.
  * Selecting a mail account from the list in the Header View window
will automatically refresh the header list.
  * The header view now displays message sizes.
  * Added Default Account to view when Left Click Action is set to
    view headers.
  * Added popup menu to View Message Headers menu to select mail
    account to view.
  * System Tray icon displays the time the last mail check
    was done.
  * Added separate "from" field for QuickMail settings.
  * Added message id checking before emails are deleted.

2. What's been fixed in version 3.0
-----------------------------------
  * Fixed a problem writing to the Windows NT registry. The "run
Lydia when windows starts" option now works under Windows NT.
  * Fixed a potential problem with the ShowingNewMailWindow flag.
  * Fixed a bug that caused an error retrieving message IDs.
  * Fixed a bug that caused Lydia to misinterpret where the
    text of a message ended.
  * Fixed bug where it would not dial and connect when view
headers was selected from the popup menu.
  * Fixed bug where it would not disconnect if you didn't respond
    to the "new mail" message.
  * Fixed bug where it would report an error if had Lydia set to
use a dial-up account and to not check only while online and
it attempted an automatic mail check while you were online.
  * Removed "address book not found" error when you would go into
the setup screen and you were connected via a LAN.
  * Fixed a bug which cause problems viewing headers from MDaemon
    Mail Server.
  * Fixed bug that caused the to: field to be empty when replying to
    an email.

appear when the screen saver quits.

3. If You Are Upgrading
-----------------------

If you are upgrading from a beta version prior to 2.3 beta 7
  ------------------------------------------------------------
The setup program will turn off the "Run on windows startup"
option. You will need to check this option again after installing
  this version.

Ensure that the dialup information is correct in the
Connection Setup screen, you must click the OK button even if
the information is correct the first time you enter setup for
  this new version.

If you are upgrading from a version of Lydia prior to 2.2
  ---------------------------------------------------------
This new version of Lydia has a number of new options, the Setup
window will be displayed the first time you run the new version.

Lydia now has an option under the Options tab to run when
