Description
-----------
Event Organizer is a Windows 95 program to help you organize your daily
events. Using it, you can be reminded of special dates (such as birthdays
or anniversaries), maintain a list of to-dos, and/or keep track of
appointments. It is targeted for individual, household or small
business use.

Although there are many calendar and organizer programs available, Event
Organizer offers features not found in other programs. It differs from many
calendar programs in that it does not account for every minute of every
day- it simply shows what is important to you. Events are displayed in a
concise table format- listing either all or just the events that are due.

Additionally, by disabling time, its appearance is simplified even more-
it is suitable to track events for which time is irrelevant.

Some events are important, and you may want to be reminded weeks in
advance. Others may be a daily event Monday through Friday, requiring no
advance warning. You control the "days in advance" that you want to be
reminded of an event, thereby limiting what is displayed to that which is
important to you.

Numerous options are available to:

o	display all or just due events
o	control the frequency of repeating events
o	control the number of days in advance that you are to be reminded
	of a event
o	control whether events are expired automatically or manually
o	provide logging of expired events
o	enable/disable time (if disabled, events will not have an associated
	start or stop time
o	and more....

Event Organizer provides point and click control to add, change, clone,
delete and expire events. On-line help is available to assist you when
help is needed.

Event Organizer also provides the capability to preview and print reports
in list and at-a-glance (day, week and month) formats.

modified behavior/exception:

o Until registered, the splash screen persists for 6 seconds (this is
reduced to 1.5 seconds after registration).

printed if the program is unregistered.

After the trial period has expired, the program will not allow the
addition of new events.

Once the program is registered, the appearance of the trial period is
eliminated. Also, you will be able to use the same registration

----------------------------------
What's New In V1.08
----------------------------------
- Event Organizer now utilizes two threads- one for the main program itself
and a second (new) thread which is solely used to operate the alarm timer.
This provides substantially more independence to the alarm timer, and
greatly enhances the conditions under which an alarm condition can be
  detected.

Since the alarm timer now operates almost independently of the main
program, awareness of several considerations is in order:

  1) When an alarm occurs and the Alarm Window is presented, it should be
acknowledged as soon as possible and before resuming other main program
     related activities.
  2) When an alarm occurs and the Alarm Window is presented, checking for
additional alarm conditions is suspended until the outstanding alarm
     condition is acknowledged.
  3) The alarm thread is ended during normal shut down of Event Organizer,
but could be left running in cases where the main program is ended
abnormally. Pressing Ctrl-Alt-Del to produce the task window can be
used to determine if this condition exists, and to end the alarm's
     timer thread.

----------------------------------

rescheduled for the 2nd Tuesday of the following month.
