    with Windows 3.x or NT.

iQ Installation Problems
******************************
Q1. I GET THE FOLLOWING ERROR MESSAGE WHEN I AM INSTALLING iQ:
"A read only file, c:\qsound\iq\iq.exe, was found while
attempting to copy files to the destination location.
To overwrite the file, click the Yes button, otherwise
       click the no button."

A1. This means that iQ is already running on your PC. You do not
need to re-install it. Click on Cancel to stop the
re-installation of iQ. If you click on Yes, you will get the
following message "General file transfer error.
Please check your target location and try again.
		Error Number: -37
		Related File: C\QSound\iQ\iQ.exe"

Again, this means that iQ is already running on your PC.
There is no need to re-install iQ.

If you want to re-install iQ, double click on the "Q" logo
in the task bar (by default, this is on the bottom
right of the screen). This will bring up the "full" IQ
page...then, click on the "X" in the top right hand
corner, and you will be prompted "Do you want to turn
      iQ off?" Select "Yes".
Now you may reinstall the software.

Other iQ Problems
************************
Q2. I AM RECEIVING THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE:
"iQ could not enhance the current audio, and is letting
      Windows play the audio unchanged"

A2. iQ does not enhance 4 bit ADPCM audio. And, we have tried
very hard to include all known sample rates (standards),
but, you may be playing a sample rate that is not included
in iQ. If this is the case, please report the sample rate,
and the site...and we may add this rate to our next release.

Q3. I AM RECEIVING THE FOLLOWING ERROR MESSAGE:
"Unexpected error: The QSound audio processor is not
      available".

A3. One or more of the following files has been deleted
      or changed...QX32THK.DLL and / or QX32.DLL
To fix this problem, you must turn iQ off (see A.5)
      then reinstall the software

Q4. I AM RECEIVING THE FOLLOWING ERROR MESSAGE:
      " could not start iQ....."

A4. One or more of the following files has been changed or
      deleted...QX16.DLL, WI.DLL, iQ16.DLL
To fix this problem, you must turn IQ off (see A5),
      then reinstall the software.

Q5. MMTASK IS REPORTING ERRORS ON SHUTDOWN

A5. Some configurations will not allow iQ to close automatically
on Windows 95 shut down. If this is the case with your
machine turn IQ off before shutdown.

Q6. NOW THAT IQ IS INSTALLED, MY MACHINE IS VERY SLOW, OR
THE AUDIO IS "INTERMITTENT", OR iQ SEEMS TO CAUSE MY
        MACHINE TO LOCK UP.

A6. Either...you are running several applications at once,
(Norton Anti Virus ?) in which case you should turn some
of them off when using iQ OR...your machine may not have
       enough power to run iQ.
The minimum recommended requirement is a P90 desktop equivalent
        with 8 meg RAM.

Q7. How can I get IQ to open minimized?

A7. Use Windows Explorer to locate and open IQ16.INI
     Change the settings to read:
     OPEN MAXIMIZED=0
     SAVE SETTINGS=1

Q8. I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH IQ THAT IS NOT MENTIONED IN THIS LIST.

A8. Mention this in your email, and a QSound representative
will contact you as soon as possible. Email your problem with iQ to
      iq.support@qsound.com
