============

If you are installing the entire PathWay Accessories 6.3.1 product, then please
follow the installation instructions provided with the product.

If you are installing the PathWay Accessories 6.3.1 patch, you must already have
installed PathWay Accessories 6.3. Then, make sure that you do not have any PathWay
Accessories components open before moving the files included in the patch to the
directory in which you installed PathWay Accessories 6.3. Replace the existing
files of the same name with those included in the patch, with the exception of
TWGLPR95.EXE and TWGPMON.DLL (included only in the Windows 95 patch).

If you are running Windows 95 and you did not install the LPR Redirector with
PathWay Accessories 6.3, but would like access to LPR Redirector printing, then
please perform the following steps:

1. Copy TWGLPR95.EXE and TWGPMON.DLL to \WINDOWS\SYSTEM
2. From the Start Menu, Run REGEDIT
3. From the Registry Editor, traverse to:
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\control\Print\Monitors
4. With Monitors highlighted, select Edit | New | Key and enter TWGLpr as the New
   Key #1 name
5. Highlight TWGLpr, select Edit | New | String Value and enter Driver as the New
   Value #1 name
6. Highlight Driver, select Edit | Modify and enter twgpmon.dll in the Value Data:

Known Limitations and Problems
==============================

Installation

If you are installing the entire PathWay Accessories 6.3.1 distribution and you have a
prior version of PathWay Accessories, it is strongly recommended that you uninstall
those components before installing PathWay Accessories 6.3.1.

Many files will be updated to your \WINDOWS and \WINDOWS\SYSTEM directories. The
dates will be checked and the files will be overwritten automatically without
prompting if they are newer.

After installation, you can view the INSTALL.LOG in the application directory to see
which files were overwritten and which registry entries were modified.

Graphical FTP

- If more than one FTP connection has been established, then clicking on the
connections in the tree (on the left side of the window) may cause the file listings
and/or directories to disappear. If this occurs, it will be necessary to close the
application in order to re-establish a connection and display the file listing.

- When connected to an FTP server, the number of files and total size displayed on the
status bar may say "0 files 0 bytes total". The status bar reflects status for files
that are "owned" by the login account only.

- Under Windows NT only, problems may be experienced when dragging files from within
PathWay File Manager (FM) and dropping them on the Windows NT desktop or into other
folders. As a workaround, files should be manipulated from within PathWay FM.
Dragging files from outside PathWay FM and dropping them into PathWay FM, works
  properly.

- FTP-Proxy Support

PathWay Accessories 6.3.1 supports connections through Proxy servers, provided the
Proxy servers allow one of the following formats:

  - "USER user-name@destination_ftp_site", which has been widely used.
Please note, however, that not all Proxy Servers support this
    format.

  - "USER with no login", AKA the "Trusted FTP".

Proxy Servers that employ mechanisms other than the above are not supported in this
  release.

- When connecting to OpenVMS hosts running DEC's TCP/IP Services (UCX), you will not be
able to PUT or GET large files. This problem is related to PASV mode support.

LPR Redirector

This application is available under Windows 95 only.

Problems Fixed/Enhancements Included in Release 6.3.1
=====================================================

Graphical FTP

- "Autodetect" now works when connecting to MVS and/or AS400 servers.

- Problems with directory displays containing zero file sizes and unknown dates
have been addressed. However, if a date cannot be obtained from the FTP server,
no date will be displayed rather than "Unknown Date". Occasionally, a zero size
may be displayed; for example, when connecting to an AS400 server, members will
be 0 size, but files will have non-zero sizes. Otherwise, file sizes should be
  correctly displayed.

- The ability to traverse MVS datasets and AS400 libraries has been added. However,
  please observe the following:

  - AS400
When connecting to AS400, only the default login library is displayed in the left
tree; however, entering a path/URL to an alternate library on the server in the
navigation bar, e.g., user@111.1.1.1:21/TESTLIB, will change to the desired
location and display the new library in the tree (at the same level as the default
    login library).

  - MVS
When connecting to MVS, the partitioned datasets are now shown in the tree and can
    be changed to successfully.

- Connecting to VM/CMS or VM/ESA systems now functions correctly.

- The following problems have been fixed when connecting to DEC OpenVMS systems NOT
running PathWay For OpenVMS from Attachmate. However, be sure that the Host Type,
under Advanced, is set to VMS(non-standard) in all cases where the OpenVMS server
is NOT running PathWay For OpenVMS.

  - When connecting to OpenVMS running either Process Software's TCPware or MultiNet
server implementations, a GPF was sometimes experienced when FTPing a file with an
explicit version number included in the filename (for example, FILE.TXT;3). The
GPF should no longer occur, but an FTP error is now displayed because OpenVMS will
not allow copying of a file to a filename which includes an explicit version
number if that complete filename already exists.

  - The directory/file listing displayed is no longer garbled when connecting to an
OpenVMS server running DEC's TCP/IP Services (UCX).

- FTP-Proxy Support:

PathWay Accessories 6.3.1 added support for connections through Proxy servers
  using the following format:

  - "USER with no login", AKA the "Trusted FTP".

Command Line FTP

The OPEN command is now supported in the command line FTP.

LPRS

The ability to map a printer to a port other than LPT1:, LPT2: and LPT3:, for
example, LPR:, has been added.

Please contact Attachmate Support at support@attachmate.com if you experience any of
the aforementioned issues (or any new issues). Updated software may be available.
