Hotline Tracker

What is it?

The Hotline Tracker makes it easy to find Hotline Servers by maintaining a listing of active servers. In the Hotline Client, you can get a copy of this listing from the tracker. You can then double-click on one of the listed servers to connect to it.

Installation

Simply double-click the application to launch it and that's it!

Banning Inappropriate Servers

If you wish, you can ban specific servers from the tracker. Banned servers will not show up in the server listing. To ban a server, create a text file named "Banned" and place it in the same folder as the tracker. In the file, put each banned IP address on a line by itself. Blank lines and text after # or // is ignored. Quit and reopen the tracker to activate the ban list. You cannot ban domain names or wildcards only single IP addresses.

Passworded Trackers

Rather than manually banning servers, you may prefer to only allow servers with a correct password to register with your tracker. When the password option is activated, servers cannot register with the tracker unless they have a valid password. Passwords are stored in a text file named "Passwords" in the same folder as the tracker. Put each password on a line by itself in the text file. To allow anyone to register with the tracker, don't create a "Passwords" file. Quit and reopen the tracker to activate the password list.
