Moving Map Tool Object Editor version 2.0

This text file is provided as a quick and easy reference guide
for the editor available in moving map tool (mmaptool.exe)
This information is also in the help documentation. At the end
of this file is a summary of keystroke commands available while
using the editor and also a list of valid values for each
different kind of record you can add and modify.

Once you have created a scenery set using mmaptool.exe and
added the appropriate scenery (*.BGL) files to your set, you
can then edit the data contained in the scenery set.

Click on a search set to highlight it and then click on the
button labelled "Edit/Save". This will bring up the moving
map object viewer screen. click on "Refresh" to display all
the objects located in your scenery set.

Once you have a list of objects (APT, VOR, ILS etc) displayed
you can Add, Delete or Modify any of the details for any of
the objects. You need to be careful though as very little
validity checking is performed by the program, for example,
if you want to add an airport with a 30000 ft runway you are
free to do so.

To edit an object, simply click twice (not double click) on the
grid cell that you want to edit or click once on the grid cell
that you want to edit and press the F2 key. Pressing ENTER when
you have finished will move the cursor to the next grid cell.
Press ESCAPE to restore the cell contents back to the original
value. To delete a row, click on the row once and press the DELETE
key. To insert a row, click on the row once and press the INSERT
key.

Once you have finished editing, click the "Save As" button and
save the contents of the grid in whatever format you wish.
HINT: if you have a lot of BGL files in a scenery set, you could
save the scenery set in moving map format (MMP), this will provide
a much quicker method of loading the scenery in future. Create a
new scenery set based on the MMP file you just saved and then use
this file rather than all the BGL files when loading into
moving map.

It all may sound complicated, but play around for a while and you
will very quickly become acustomed to editing and saving files. It
is important to note that when you save a file, only the data
contained in the grid will be saved. This means for example that
if you are only displaying airports in the grid then only the
airport information will be saved, not the VORs, NDBs etc.
