Thank you for purchasing Connectix Wig Out!. We are confident that
this product will provide you hours of high fashion and fun, creating
new looks, styles, and smiles for yourself, your family, and friends.
Please read the following ReadMe file. It contains important, up to
the minute technical information about this product that may not be
included in the User Guide. Thanks again for trying Wig Out!- we hope
you have fun!

Attention Connectix QuickCam owners:
You will want to use the 2.1 or later release of the QuickCam driver
software. The 2.1 release provides TWAIN support for your QuickCam,
which is required by Wig Out!. The Wig Out! installer will update any
properly installed QuickCam drivers to version 2.1. From time to time,
Connectix posts updates to the QuickCam drivers (as well as other
products) on our website. These can be downloaded for free at
www.connectix.com.

If you are using a QuickCam and notice slight artifacting or corruption
of your image when you use it with Wig Out!, you most likely have
an image that is too dark or was taken in poor lighting. With a
grayscale QuickCam, simply adjust the contrast value to approximately
-6 (it will vary with lighting conditions) as this should improve the
image to a level where the artifacting will not occur. If you are
experiencing these symptoms with the Color QuickCam try adjusting the
black level back to the default range or simply click "default" in
your QuickCam settings dialog.

Using other manufacturers digital cameras, scanners, or other TWAIN
devices:
Wig Out! will recognize any device that has a standard TWAIN driver.
When using TWAIN devices with Wig Out!, we recommend using the 16-bit
driver if your manufacturer provides one.

Documentation/ packaging error:
This version of Connectix Wig Out! does not support the GIF file
format. The documentation and packaging incorrectly state that it
does.

TIFF Clarification:
Connectix Wig Out! supports many variations of the TIFF format. Wig Out!
does not, however, support the variation of TIFF which employs LZW
compression. If you have difficulty opening or importing a TIFF file,
please check to see if it was saved with this compression setting. If
so, simply resave without LZW selected and you should be able to open
the file in Wig Out!.

Using Connectix Wig Out! in 640 x480 mode:
If you are using Connectix Wig Out! in 640 x480 mode, the Start bar
will cover a portion of the Wig Out! user interface. This does not
affect the functionality of the product , but may be slightly annoying.
To alleviate this issue try one of two things: 1) try switching your
monitor resolution to a size larger than 640 x 480 or 2) select Auto
Hide in your Start bar properties. To switch your monitor settings,
under the Start Menu go to Settings; Control Panels; Display then
click on the Settings tab and adjust the Desktop area to a size larger
than 640 x480. To select Auto Hide, simply right mouse click the Start
bar itself, select Properties from the menu that appears, and then
click Auto Hide. Your Start bar will disappear from the screen but will
reappear when you move your cursor over the area previously occupied
by the Start bar.

Process Point/ Define Hairline Clarification:
In the define process point process, you may end up with a process
point or two which appear off screen. There is nothing wrong with this.
The reason the bottom two shoulder points may appear offscreen
(not appear) is relative to the position of your two temple points. If
the temple points are placed in the lower half of the image window,
the bottom two process points will likely not appear. To alleviate
this issue, simply start with a photo or image in which the face is
centered higher in the image window.
