A resource’s pay rate may not remain at the same level for very long. New job requirements and changing economic conditions can cause pay rates to increase or decrease. With Microsoft Project, you can specify new pay rates and the dates on which they go into effect. On the date a new pay rate goes into effect, Microsoft Project uses the new pay rate to calculate resource costs.
