just a small, dirty FAQ. nothing more. just to avoid users asking me the same questions over and over.

by the way: users who msg me on IRC talking about seg-faults or "bugs" will be /ignore'd. You don't have to use
linfXp, so don't come and complain all the time. I do this for nothing.

- I can't use my cursor keys/backspace or my terminal looks ugly. What can I do ?

Try using the correct TERM setting for your system. One of linux/vt300/vt102 should
work with your system (depends on many things). Just set the TERM variable and choose
the one which suits best to your needs.

- linfXp doesn't detect the correct newest directory. Whats wrong ?

Nothing. At least nothing I can do about it.
This problem just occurs when a new year arrives. To give you more background-information:
the directory-listing a ftp-server sends contains timestamps. The problem is that these
timestamps don't contain information about the year. So a directory created on december 'xx
compared to a directory created on january '(xx+1) will look newer (december is a bit newer
than january isn't it? at least when you don't have the year-information).
So, just wait a few days and chill, monitor new uploads manually and after a few days, the
site will not contain any more directories from the old year - and everything works fine again.

- How do I make linfXp accept my bookmark-input ?

Simple. You fill in every field (switch through the fields with TAB) and press RETURN
when ready. If it beeps at you, you made a mistake. Like a SPACE in the host-alias or
host-name. Or you didn't enter the user+pass in the form of "username password"
(with just ONE single space between, no plus-sign).

- What if I want to exit from an requester ?

Just press ESC twice. I know, the keyboard-routines suck. So don't complain. Always remember
you are l33t, and so is my tool.

- It will not work. Not on a single site. It says PORT-cmd not understood orso. Am I stupid ?

No. You just didn't read the README (uhm, why is it called README?). I bet you have
a dialup. If yes, go and append the name of the device you are using to communicate
with the rest of the world after "linfXp". Like "linfXp ppp0" (try using ifconfig
to see what devices you got).
If thats not the problem, then you aren't l33t enuff.

- I pressed ESC once. And then I wanted to do this'n'that. It screwed up.

Well, thats the problem of my bad keyboard-handler. If you press ESC once, you'll have
to press it a second time again (to reset the internal keyboard-status). Don't ask why,
this is a fact. Otherwise linfXp will behave unpredictable.

- I have a suggestion to make your tool more comfortable/useful

Fine. Tell me about it at psi@esprit.org

- Your $Q#$%&ing program just formatted my HD !!

	It did? hmmm...

- Your tool is sooo l33t, tell me quick, how can I run it in windooze ?

Ok. First, repartition your HD. Install linux. *voila*

- I just found a bug. It seg-faulted on me. Did you know, when I do this and then that...

	shut up
