Align & Center part of MacroForrns' Productivitylloolz can
simulate this natural position and alignment thinking pattern.

Exlercise # 1 : Move Demo

1. activate the Tutorialz (F1) or (F11) tool
    the Tutorialz requester will appear

Note: Dependjng on your system the Tutorialz program may
be on F1 or F1 1. Check yourkeysettings in Welcome to
MacroForm to be sure.

2. Select Move DemO and click OK or hit Return
the tutorialz requester will disappear and objects will be
   loaded into Modeter

Take a look at the orientation of these objects. What if we
want to move the book so it is resting on top of the table?
Align & Center allows you to accomplish this alignment
quickly and easily:
3. activate Align & Center (F2)
the Align 8 Center requester will appear

Note: Don't be alanaed by the number of buttons on the
Align & Center interface. All of the buttons are necessary to
represent the natural way we think about positlon and
alignment. In time you will leam to associate mental ,mages
with these buttons.

In order to put the book that is located in the foreground
layer, on top of the table that is located in the background
layer. we need to isolate the axes we want to aftect.

First, we want to center the book along the width of the
table so both objects are lined up. In order to do this we'll
need to move the book horlzontally. Since horizontal or
width is represented by X in 3D, we will set the X menu to
CENTER On the Align a Center requester:

4. Select the X-CENTER bufton
the book will be centered along the width of the table

Now we also want the book to rest on top of the table, so
we want to move the book vertically. Since vertical or
height is represented by Y in 3D, we will set the Y menu to
-+ (negative/positive) on the Align 8 Center requester. But
before we do this, a little explanation is in order.

The +- (positive/negative) and the -+ (negative/positive)
l as Tutorials #1 and #2.
More advanced instructions on using the GUI can be found later in this manual. First, Iet's
load up an object and apply the Surface Effectors shader to its surface. DO A SAVE ALL
OBJECTS, TO COMMIT THIS CHANGE. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO DO THIS BEFORE
YOU USE THE GUl. Next, Iet's bring up the interface:
