         Distance& Angles
            - allows you to rotate your model based on absolute or relative angles
            - allows you to scale your modei based on the distance between 2
          selected points
RailToolz

        General
           - works with control points
           - no more rail tool illegal curves
       Apply Mode
           -curve editing
delete any points or add as many as you like; you can add start and/or
                 end control points
           - unselected data isn't hidden
can perform simultaneous operations on different areas of the same
                   model with different curves
           - can add or delete control curve
       RailOff set
           - works with Rounded and Extended ends in Segment and Depth
              Recognition modes
      RailBend
          - now has the common Reference Point parameters
             RailScale
          - has a factor control for the Scaling option
      RebuildRaii
         - you can now bulld a polygon as a curve or a curve as a polygon
            RailStretch
         - can turn otf stretching for the opposite axis (axis 2)
RailWarp (The tool formeHy known as RaHForm)
         - RailForm still exists and operates as it did before but we've renamed
it to better describe the effect it has on your models. It 'Warps' them.

Now the best nevvs of all...

New and Improved Manual!

Even though the version I .O manual was critically acclaimed we were not
satisfied. We wanted to create a manual that not only teaches you how to use
our software, but one that helps to ease the pain of modeling by aftempting to
teach you to better "see" the world around you. In essence, this is actually 2
books in onel In taking this approach, it is our intention to make the
modeling process more enjoyable by allowing you to apply that newly
acquired "sight" to your modeling sessions. So, even if you've read through
the version 1.0 manual and are currently using MacroForm, this new
MacroForm manual is essential reading.

from the outside toward the inside. Finally, the fourth effector has its interpolation type set to
Multiplicative (the "XX" in its name). It multiplies its values by those in the texture surface.

Tutorial #10- Bonanza.lws - uttin some more thin s to ether

This scene shows the use of multiple eftectors working in tandem to create a really nifty
"burning parchment reveal" sort of
eftect. . . . bum-da-da-bum-da-da-bum-da-da-bum-da-da-bum-bum (music from "Bonanza" theme
song added for effect).

First, we set up some bones to warp the paper all sorts of ways when it burns, as that's what
paper does, Then we set up sort of a "dummy" parent of the whole efrector hierarchy..,it has
no attributes attached to it and hence has no effect of its own. The reascn for this dummy is so
we can attach the fractal texture (the null whose name begins with "Frac") to it and have all the
children inherit the same universal fractal texture.. .this will keep the texture in sync between
the many effectors that will be used to animate this effect, as the fractal texture works just like
other "attribute efrectors", being inherited by children of the parent effector to which the fractal
null is attached.

Examining the "Frac" texture null attached to the hierarchy, note especially that the fractal
texture has the "Edge" keyword specified to indicate that the fractal effect oniy occur between
the min and max radius values for an effector...this is important, as othenvise we would have
sort of a cloud of transparent blotches in the middle of the paper rather than a ragged-edged
hole. Note also that all of the effectors have the "Obj" keyuford specified for them...this is also-
important, as we want to have the affected areas stay with the paper surface even when it is
warped from the bones...if this were not done, as the edge of the hole moved along an
increasingly warped paper surFace, we might actually have burned spots contract inward or do
other sorts of things that burning hole edges do not do. A final thing to note: the Min and Max
