Ocean Disturbances


In addition to wind waves, various disturbances can be added to the ocean surface. Version 1.1 supports Ripples, Swell, Height and Multiplier Grids Reflecting Walls, and Wakes. Disturbances are specified in the ocean file by first setting the number_disturbances to the number of desired disturbances. After this, you specify the how you want the region that is occupied by the disturbances to be rendered. This only effects the boat wake and the reflecting wall. The three options are black,flat, and natural. The black option renders these regions black, the flat option renders them as a flat ocean surface, and the natural renders them with the actual wave height inside the object. A sample section of the ocean input file for disturbances follows.
