FileBack PC 3.1 (Beta Trial Edition) - Sept 15, 1997 Release
============================================================
Thank you for taking the time to download this trial
version of FileBack PC 3.1. This version will allow you
to use the FileBack program without having to pay for it
first, for an unlimited amount of time. The only
restriction is that the trial version will only allow
two entries in the file backup list.

You may order a registered copy or download new releases
of FileBack from the FileBack PC homepage at the
following Internet location:

        http://www.inconnect.com/~mos/FileBack.html

Installation Instructions (Beta Version)
========================================
After unzipping the FB31B5.zip archive, locate and copy
the FILEBACK.EXE program file to the directory where
you would like to store it. After copying, double-click
the FileBack.exe icon to start the program.

Note: You must close any previous version of FileBack PC
before attempting to copy the new program file.

Automatic Startup
=================
Previous versions of FileBack PC were set to auto-load at
Windows startup by default. With this installation, this
has changed; in order to set FileBack PC to auto-load,
navigate to the "Options" page and select the "Load FileBack
at Windows Startup" option.

If you later decide to uninstall FileBack PC, you will need
to turn this option off before uninstalling the software
to prevent an error at Windows startup afterward.
(Unfortunately, the uninstallation software being used does
not take care of this situation.)

Beta Version
============
This version is in beta form. In other words, it is not as
completely debugged and polished as a final release. If you
encounter unexpected behavior, or the software crashes,
please send e-mail to mos-betasupport@inconnect.com to report
your findings. All feedback is greatly appreciated.

Users of previous versions
==========================
If you have been using FileBack PC version 3.0 in the past
and may wish to go back to the previous version, you must
back up your FileBack.FBCfg file. The file created by
version 3.1 cannot be read by version 3.0. All other files
(registration information, synchronization data files, etc.)
are fully compatible with versions 3.01 through 3.02b.

Contacting the Author
=====================
Doug Johnson, the author of FileBack, has been
developing FileBack in his spare time for several
months now. He also holds a full time job which prevents
him from accepting any telephone calls for supporting
FileBack. However, he is always accessible via e-mail
at mos@inconnect.com. All inquiries are answered within
a matter of one or two days. If you are having difficulties
with FileBack, send an e-mail message describing your
computer configuration and any problem(s) you are having
in detail.
