What's New in CleanSweep Deluxe
===============================

Not only is CleanSweep Deluxe faster, it has been greatly enhanced
with new Internet features. Additional improvements have been made
to many features from earlier versions.

Internet Cleanup -- Keeps tabs on temporary junk files,
program plug-ins and sensitive information downloaded
(invisibly and visibly) when browsing the Web. Cleans up
your hard drive by removing unneeded ActiveX controls,
obsolete browser plug-ins, and temporary cache files.

Enhanced Smart Sweep -- CleanSweep's program installation
monitoring is more efficient and thorough to ensure complete
	program removal.

Increased scanning speed -- CleanSweep now scans your hard
drive for file information significantly faster.

The Internet Cleanup features of CleanSweep Deluxe include: Internet
Uninstall, Internet Cache Cleanup, Cookie Cleanup, Plug-in Cleanup,
and ActiveX Cleanup. These new features are supported with Netscape
and Microsoft Internet Explorer browser versions 3.x and 4.x, as well
as AOL's 3.x OEM version of the Internet Explorer browser.

Browser plug-ins are best removed from "Programs Monitored by Smart
Sweep" after clicking on the Internet Uninstall button. Likewise,
ActiveX controls are best removed from "Downloads Monitored by
Internet Sweep" in the same Internet Uninstall screen. CleanSweep
will always remove programs more thoroughly from a monitored
installation.

When an ActiveX control is downloaded the CleanSweep Deluxe Internet
Sweep icon on the task bar will flash alerting the user that Internet
Sweep is working. Unlike regular "Programs Monitored by Smart
Sweep", Internet Sweep will automatically label the download and add
the item to the "Downloads Monitored by Internet Sweep" tree view.

Known Issues with CleanSweep Deluxe
===================================

- We do not recommend removing the Microsoft Plus! Pack, Internet
Explorer 4.0 beta, or WordPerfect Suite 8.0 with CleanSweep.

- HPFS (IBM's High Performance File System available on Windows NT)
is no longer supported in CleanSweep.

- Smart Sweep, Internet Sweep and Usage Watch do not function on SMP
  (multi-processor) machines on Windows NT.

- Internet Sweep monitoring does not function properly when Shell
Integration is enabled with Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 beta 2.

- When monitoring an installation of Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0
beta, we recommend using Manual Logging rather than automatic
logging. To start Manual Logging, right-click on the Smart Sweep
icon in the tray and select "Start Logging."

- On Windows NT, Smart Sweep may ask you if you would like to monitor
an install more than once. This is because CleanSweep must monitor
16- and 32- bit modules separately, and some application install
programs use both 16- and 32- bit components.

- The Applications View in Registry Genie is predictive by nature. It
may not list all applications you have installed and it may list
a few that you don't have installed. This is because of the fact
that some applications share Registry keys.

- Some changes are made to CleanSweep's drivemap file when CleanSweep
is exited. If files that you have deleted are still showing up in
one of CleanSweep's finders, exit CleanSweep and restart it.

- Novell's Client 32 and QDFSDRV.SYS conflict with each other to give
the error message KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED when Windows is
starting. To get around this, do not log into the network upon
startup. There is an option on the Windows NT tab of the Novell
Client logon screen that will allow you to log into the workstation
only. You may then map your network drives as you need them once
everything is started. Do not set these connections to be restored
when you login the next time.
