Good morning, this is Dr.Lazy typing.

...and still the whole story continues like all the time before, all get's
delayed, improved, perfectioned. Well, it seems like UiP is never getting
ready but is steady on its way to become perfect. As many of you may have
noticed, this bugfixed version 2.3 was holded back, until I could finished
the most important features that are needed for finally using it. So here
we go:

Finished features:

1. Loading and saving text-files from anywhere.
2. Packing volumes (was the basis for huge - game-solution data-base)
3. Nearly completed the right-button-help for the editor. (try it!)
4. Increase Textkinds (less patchkinds, more flexiliby)
5. New, advanced #3-upv-fileformat (can't be loaded with version below 2.3)
6. I started to include my Gamebase-texts (see gamebase.upv) to test the
performance for huge datebases... 2.6 MB are not problem...
7. Included program's date-feature for better searching and keeping volumes
clean. (perhaps splitting into old and new-stuff...)
x. fixed most of the bugs, the testers complained about.

Volume-mistakes:

I had a look at some of your volumes and recognized some often made mistakes:

1. Using the wrong patch-kind.
	Mention following hints:
a.If the patch has only text, I can't be a trainer, patch or savegame.
b.Keycodes (now changed to "SerialCodes") are not ment as solutions
or levelcodes of games, but for REGISTER-CODEs, SERIAL NUMBERs AND
	  KEYCODES, only.
c.use the right button-help on patch-kinds if unsure...
2. Giving inexact patch-names.
	a. you should name different patches for one program like:
"terminator - patch 2", because "terminator 2" might me confusing.
	b. "The Terminator 1" should be called "Terminator 1", because sorted
for names, you will not found it!
3. Making several patches where one could do:
	a. group diffent texts to one game or program into one patch and
choose the HELP - patchkind. That will do.
4. Using inadequat text-kinds:
	a. Try to apply the new text-kinds to your volume. (Use ALT-T to
	   apply last selected Textkind...)
