Data Detective Searcher
How does Data Detective Searcher work?
The Searcher uses the capabilities of your World Wide Web browser, including Java, JavaScript, and LiveWire, to search through the index built with the Indexer and retrieve a list of documents matching a particular search query.
Any portion of the index can be accessed directly and displayed in the Indexing Notebook. Any of the indexed words can be picked and used in search queries.
Search queries are made up of words, phrases, wild cards, and Boolean and proximity operators. Improper search query syntax is automatically corrected. The search query is compared to the index and a ranked list of corresponding documents is returned in the Results Notebook.
