			  ODI SERVER README
			  =================

The Open Data-Link Interface ("ODI") server driver found within this
subdirectory is titled EWRK3.LAN.

Before beginning the installation of the server driver (particularily if it
is the first time you are installing the driver) you may need to execute the
NICSETUP program to verify or alter EtherWORKS3 configuration settings
according to your PC's operating environment. Instructions on operating
NICSETUP can be found in the README file located in the root directory of
this distribution media.

To load the ODI Server driver, the following steps should be followed:

    1. Set the default directory to NETWARE and copy the server driver
       into this subdirectory as follows:

		      C:\> CD NETWARE
		      C:\NETWARE> COPY A:\ODI\SERVER\*.*

(Note: This will also copy the README file for the driver as well)

    2. Load the Netware 3.X operating system on the target system
(e.g., at the C:\NETWARE> prompt, type SERVER)

    3. At the ':' prompt, type LOAD C:\NETWARE\EWRK3.

    4. At this point, the driver will prompt you for three system variables
required by NetWare - Base I/O Address, Memory Base Address and IRQ
Value. For each prompt, all of the possible options are presented.
If you are unsure of what these values should be set to, either hit
<ENTER> to accept the default values:

		(I/O Base=300, Memory Base = D0000h, IRQ = 5)

    5. If the driver detects a conflict with any of the values entered, an
appropriate error message is generated. If this happens, you will
need to execute the NICSETUP utility to change the board settings
and then repeat from Step 3 above. If the configuration parameters
entered do not present a system conflict, a successful load message
       is displayed.

    6. You are now ready to bind the driver to the particular protocol you
are using (e.g., at the : prompt, type BIND IPX EWRK3). Depending
upon the protocol type you will either be prompted for a network
number (which can be any unused number you want) or you will be
brought back to ":" prompt. At this point, the driver is now loaded
       and ready for use.
