The ILS Solution

Internet Locator Server offers a standards-based dynamic directory solution to the user location problem on the Internet. ILS can be used to create dynamic network communities, enabling users to:

• iiiiiFind friends who are currently logged on to an Internet service or site.
• Use real-time communications software such as Microsoft NetMeeting™ or Intel Internet Phone to connect to other computers for Internet telephone calls.
• Work together to edit documents online.
• Set up meetings in which participants can share an online whiteboard.

ILS is designed for commercial use. For example, the ILS server is designed to scale to tens of thousand of users per server, handling millions of queries per day on each server.
