.----[intro: why the hell was this made? ]-----------------------------------.
eh, it was really just made, because after I wrote the Win95 screensaver
password cracker I said "surely, theres some other passwords lying around PC's
today that are badly encrypted!", so I went on a small hunt.

On my way I found subspace, which the Win95 screensaver password cracker
will automatically spit out for you the UNENCRYPTED user information. I found
the CuteFTP tree.dat file, and also the Microsoft Internet Mail registry
info (the decryptor for the latter is not out at the time of this release
yet).

all of the programs mentioned above, are written in QuickBasic v4.50 (c) 1988.
Just for a cute twist to Microsoft (and also, it being the only legal lang.
I have for the PC, besides PERL. And I'm not about to mess with porting unix
code. This was simply the easiest way).

.----[ Now for the real information ]----------------------------------------.
This program isn't too terribly complex, unlike the Win95 screensaver cracker.
Very simple. You don't even need to read the file, but it's nice if you do.

oh, btw. and any use of this program should be for educational reasons only.
any other will just cease to allow me to be blamed, or something. Heh.

I tested this using, CuteFTP v1.7, not 1.8 yet, thats up to some other dope.
The encryption was WAY too fucking easy for reason, it was just a set of 25
or so offset types, with character ranges. Actually, if you only want to
decrypt letters, its about 7 charactar ranges. The rest of em get messy.
'----[summary: use registry exports when possible!]-------------------------'

.----[ limitations ]--------------------------------------------------------.
The main limitations of this stem from my laziness. I only put in code for
it to hack the main keys, a-Z, 0-9, !"#(&)/(=(.;:_ and all the other
important ones. If a charactar does not match these, it will simply spit out
the encrypted letter for it.

I also look at it this way, if anyone goes to the trouble of using ۲.-
as their password, they dont deserve to have it cracked! If you really must,
go make your own cracker.
'----------------------------------------------------------------------------'

.----[ practical technique ] ------------------------------------------------.
ehh.... not much practical technique here! Though do look around, some FTP
sites (ServU's and what not), and networked computers, have their CuteFTP
directory accessable. Simply download it and crack it on your own computer.
