Concept: This is
a texture that completely
filters the object while allowing the specular highlights to show.
Key Points: Add this texture, along with Grid to a simple plane. Make the plane completely filter and bring up the specular to it's highest value. You will see the grid lines, since that we show the specular highlights, but the object will not show. We use it for making guard rails on decks.
