Here are some last minute additions to the manual...

MY FILTERS DON'T APPEAR IN PHOTOSHOP BUT ARE IN
THE PHOTOSHOP PLUGIN DIRECTORY
If you are running Windows 3.1x or Windows for Workgroups with
Photoshop 3.x, you will need to install our 32-bit filters using the
"A:SETUP /M" option described on page 23 of The Black Box manual.

NEW 32-BIT GRAPHIC PROGRAMS
There are new versions of some graphic programs that now take
advantage of the 32-bit operating system (Win 95, Win NT):
Corel PhotoPaint 6.0 and Micrografx Picture Publisher 6.0. You will
want to install the 32-bit version of our software for those applications.

OUTER BEVEL IN LAYERS
The filter Outer Bevel needs to affect graphic information
outside of a selection. If you make a selection in a layer that has
transparent elements, you will get unpredictable results. You can tell
that this will happen when you look at the preview in the Outer Bevel
dialog box. If there is a checkerboard in the area where the Outer Bevel filter is
supposed to be affecting, the filter will not work correctly. A workaround
would be to apply a diffuse Glow around the selection (after saving the
selection, of course) and then apply the Outer Bevel to the saved selection.

COMPATIBILITY ISSUES
Just because a new graphic program claims to support Photoshop filters
does not mean that we are automatically compatible with that program. Programmers
sometimes don't always strictly play by the rules. We want The Black Box
to work with as many programs as possible, but it takes time and resources
that are not always available. We cannot support or predict the outcome of
using our filters with programs other than: Corel Photopaint, Micrografx
PicturePublisher, Adobe Photoshop. Soon we will be able to support JASC
PaintShopPro 3.12. We are also working with other companies to be compatible.
Check our website for more information.

If you have a favorite graphic program that you'd like supported OR are
wondering about the compatibility of our software with a program, please
don't hesitate contacting us.
