I. RUNNING THE SETUP PROGRAM

Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0: The Setup.exe program launches
automatically when you insert the RealAudio Player Plus CD-ROM
in the CD-ROM drive. This Read Me file is opened by clicking
the "Read Me" button on the Setup window.

Windows 3.1x: Insert the RealAudio Player Plus CD-ROM into
the CD-ROM drive. Run Setup.exe by double-clicking on the
Setup.exe icon. This Read Me file is opened by clicking
the "Read Me" button on the Setup window.

II. INSTALLING A WORLD WIDE WEB BROWSER

A World Wide Web browser should be installed on your
computer before installing the RealAudio Player Plus.
You can install a World Wide Web browser from the RealAudio
Player Plus CD-ROM. If you already have a World Wide Web
browser that is compatible with the RealAudio Player Plus,
you do not need to install another browser.

To install a World Wide Web browser from the RealAudio
Player Plus CD-ROM:

From the RealAudio Setup window, click the "Install a
Web Browser" button.

The following browsers are available from the RealAudio
Player Plus CD-ROM:

Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0:

	- Microsoft offers the Microsoft Internet Explorer
	  version 3.01.

	- NETCOM, an Internet Service Provider, offers
	  NETCOMPLETE 3.2, including Netscape Navigator
	  3.0.

Windows 3.1x:

	- NETCOM, an Internet Service Provider, offers
	  NETCOMplete 3.2, including Netscape Navigator
	  3.0.

	- SPRYNET, an Internet Service Provider, offers
	  Netscape Navigator version 2.0.

The Browser installation program automatically detects your
operating system, and offers only those browsers that are
most appropriate for your system. If you use Windows 95, you
have a choice of Players because some Internet Service
Providers require Windows 95 users to use Internet software
designed for Windows 3.1.

III. INSTALLING THE REALAUDIO PLAYER PLUS

After installing a World Wide Web browser or if you already
have a World Wide Web Browser installed on your computer,
you are ready to install the RealAudio Player Plus.

To install the RealAudio Player Plus from the RealAudio
Player Plus CD-ROM:

From the RealAudio Setup window, click the "Install
Player Plus" button to begin installing the
RealAudio Player Plus. The RealAudio Player Plus
installation program automatically detects your operating
system, and provides the RealAudio Player Plus that is
most appropriate for your system.

Some Windows 95 users connect to the Internet using Windows
3.1 (16-bit) software. If you have 16-bit Internet software,
you should install the Windows 3.1 Player Plus, even if you
have Windows 95. Check with your Internet Service Provider
if you are unsure.

IV. TIMECAST: THE REALAUDIO GUIDE

After Player Plus has been installed on your system, you
will be asked if you would like to complete the install-
ation of Player Plus at the Timecast web site. If you
connect to the Internet via modem, we recommend that you
establish a connection to the Internet before you answer
"Yes" to the Timecast question.

Making a connection to Timecast after installing Player Plus
is very important. Timecast: the RealAudio Guide offers:

	* free upgrades to newer Player Plus versions
	* a customizable personal Timecast web page
	* a tutorial showing you how to use the
	  RealAudio Player Plus
	* a place to register your RealAudio Player
	  Plus purchase
	* special discounts on Internet products

Your personal identification information for Timecast is
stored in your World Wide Web browser. If you change web
browsers, or delete and reinstall your browser, Timecast
will no longer be able to identify you.

If Timecast is unable to identify you:

	1) Connect to the Internet
	2) Open the Readme.htm file in your RealAudio
	   Player Plus directory (usually C:\RAPLAYER)
	3) Click "Customize Your Timecast Page"
