F22 Lightning II Editing Help - From The Fall Guy

BEFORE YOU START BE SURE TO MAKE A BACK UP OF YOUR F22PLYR.SAV FILE

All Mission info is saved in your F22 directory in a file called f22plyr.sav

You need a good DOS editor to work this, not edit as is in dos.

The program bedit.exe is one you could use and is included as is my
f22plr.sav file.

If your pilot is the first one in the save list the first 4 lines in bedit
display info are for that pilot.

here is how bedit would display the info for FALLGUY whose info is below:

CallSign: FALLGUY...................SCORE 104801
RANK: COLONEL

Campaign: 5 Mission: 4
Kills: 141
Crashes: 0
Ejections: 0
Landings: 9
Service hours: 13:56

Bullets: Fired: 380 Hits: 144 37%
Missiles: Fired: 150 Hits: 141 94%
JDAMS: Dropped: 11 Targets Hit: 25

First line: 62 00 00 00 46 41 4C 4C - 47 55 59 00 00 00 00 00
                        F A L L G U Y

2nd Line: 00 00 00 00 61 99 01 00 - 04 00 01 00 8F 00 17 00

The 61-01 makes up the score. On the right side the 04 here shows
Campaign 4 is complete. The 00 to the right is the mission number.
So, add 1 to 04 and 1 to 00, and the pilot is on campaign 5, starting
mission 1. The 8F here relates to kills total.

3rd line: 00 00 00 00 90 00 7C 01 - 8D 00 96 00 00 00 09 00

The first set of 00 on the line shows # of crashes. FallGuy has
had none, (yeah right !!!). The 7C 01 relate to bullets fired and hits.
On the right side, the 8D and 96 have to do with Miss fired and hits.
The 09, 2nd in from the end gives the number of landings.

4th line: 39 01 07 00 07 00 00 00 - 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00

The 07 and 07 show bombs dropped and hits.

Hope this of some help to some people. It allows you to have a Super Pilot
and lets you play any Campaign and Mission whenever you want.

But Remember, make a BackUp of your existing f22plyr.sav file,
just to be save.
