==================================================================
Release notes for
  Rockwell ACI and ACF
  TAPI with Unimodem/V
==================================================================

Notes:

- While in TAPI mode, if you flash to a busy line, the modem will
hang up. This is a limitation of TAPI. It is possible to get the
line back by turning speakerphone off and then on again.

- If you have TAPI support installed on your machine, but wish to run
in native ROCKWELL mode (to support features that are not provided
in TAPI, for instance) then you should do the following-
	1) run setup
	2) select full install
	3) run complete modem test
	4) DO NOT choose a telephony device, click CANCEL
	5) choose the Com ports you wish to test

- If you use the Advanced Voice Designer to make a change to
your currently active voice script, please (1) save the changes,
   (2) exit the voice designer, and (3) press the Stop/Reset button
   to enable the changes.

- Music on Hold is dependent on support files (eg. AZTEXT.DLL) that
must be provided by the hardware manufacturer. If these files
are not provided, then Music on Hold may not work. If this is
the case, please contact your hardware manufacturer to enquire
   about updated drivers.

- To be able to install the NT print driver you must be in
   Administrator mode.

- Record conversation does not work if using TAPI. Attempting to do
on-line recording when using the speakerphone will result in a line
drop. You must use the handset while recording.

- Changes to the Music-On-Hold setup require that the media player
be closed for the changes to be reflected.

- If you experience problems such as no sound from speakers or mic,
please check the mixer settings in Windows 95 to ensure that all
the proper devices are enabled and that the levels are not set to
   zero.

- The minimum screen size and color depth for running TCS 5.1 with
the wood background is 640x480 resolution with 256 colors. See
item #2 under "Additional Information" below for instructions on
   changing your background.

See additional limitations for TAPI mode that are listed below under
   "Additional Information".

Additional Information:

1) The following functions are not supported by Windows Telephony
   (TAPI) and Unimodem/V:

   a) Recording from modem microphone (#vls=3)
   b) Playback through modem speaker (#vls=2)
   c) Music on Hold (or simply Mute/Hold) (#vls=7)
   d) Call screening, speaker active during automated voice call (#vls=4)
   e) Record conversation (#vls=8)
   f) Single digit PULSE dialing
   g) Country specific modem initialization

In order to enable these functions, please follow the directions
listed under "Notes:" for installing Native Rockwell Mode support.

2) The default background (wood finish desktop) is designed to be run
on a system that supports a minimum of 640x480 resolution with 256
colors. If your configuration is set to use 16 colors, then you
will want to change your Trio background to something with 16 or
less colors. To change the background image, add a new section
"[UI]" to DATAFAX.INI and add the key "Background". This key should
equal the name of the background bitmap. Example:

	[UI]
	Background="FOREST.BMP"

The default bitmap is WOOD, and if WOOD.BMP is not present the
   background will be gray.
