Release 1.2.1 (10/24/96 11:22am)

Read the manual for old information, this only has new stuff pertaining to 1.2.

MetaMAX 1.2
-----------
This minor release actually adds a pretty major new thingy, however, it hasn't been tested very much, so I decided to first release it as a beta release. So this is beta 1. The new feature is as follows:
Any CONVEX mesh can be used as a blobby object. That is, cubes, boxes, cylinders, spheres, plus lofted objects, ANYTHING that is convex (concave will work but you'll get really wierd results). Fo example, I could take a box, move a vertex, then apply a bend modifier to it, and use the resulting mesh as a blobby object. a MetaObject I guess. At the current state, all these objects have to be positive hardness 1, but that still allows for alot of freedom. Note that metaballs will still give more accurate results faster than regular spheres. In fact, using any object which isn't a "metaball" will slow down the blob generation quite a bit. So use it only when you need to, or if yo have a fast machine. The more complex the mesh, the longer it takes to build. But you can judge that for yourself. Have a blast, and send bug finds to me. And yes, 2.0 WILL have animatable balls, I just too lazy to get started on it *grin*.

Please send ALL comments, bug reports, questions, ideas, everything to shnof19@mail.idt.net. Just remember that this IS a beta, and I NEED feedback. Thanks for your help.
