Save -> HrcRecord (Motion Module)

The Save -> HrcRecord command in the Motion module is the hierarchy version of the Save -> Record (Motion Module) command. It saves the geometry of animated hierarchies to disk at user-selected frames, regardless of which tools are used to animate the model.

Procedure

1. Animate a hierarchy (the hierarchy can contain curves, polygon meshes, patches, or NURBS surfaces).

2. Choose the Save -> HrcRecord command in the Motion module. The Record dialogue box is displayed (this is the same as for the Save -> Record (Motion Module) effect.

3. Set the parameters as desired (see Save -> Record (Motion Module)).

4. Pick the hierarchy.

5. The HrcRecord icon appears. To complete the effect, play back the animation.

6. Once the animation has finished playing, the frames have been recorded to disk and the custom effect is complete. At this point the HrcRecord icon is no longer needed and may be deleted.

A list of .hrc files are saved to disk.
