Preview -> Selection

The Preview -> Setup command. Objects are rendered with material attributes, textures, and lights. Hidden objects are not rendered.

As its name implies, this command only gives you a preview of the selected object on the screen, but does not save the rendered image to a file. For the final rendering of a frame or a sequence, use the Render menu cell.

Procedure

1. Select one or more objects.

2. Choose the Preview -> Selection command.

The SOFTIMAGE 3D display is hidden, and a window opens displaying the selected object. Middle-click to close the window when you're done.
