This command is particularly useful for recording the resulting rotation function curves of articulated chain joints for which the corresponding chain effector has been animated or attached to an animation path. This essentially allows you to convert inverse kinematics into direct (forward) kinematics animation.
Make sure to relax or remove the animation of the effector. If not, the playback results in a different animation since both the direct and inverse kinematics are applied to the chain (rotations on the joints define the preference angle for inverse kinematics).
