Menu Cells
FcrvSelect -> Light
The FcrvSelect -> Light command in the Motion module displays the function curves for the animated parameters of the selected light in the Fcurve window. See the Light -> Define command for information about light parameters.
For more information on all tasks related to editing function curves, see the Editing Function Curves section of the Animating User's Guide.
Procedure
1. Select a light. You can use the Multi menu cell to select multiple lights.
2. Choose the FcrvSelect -> Light command.
The Fcurve window and the appropriate function curve(s) appear.
All
Displays all function curves available for the selected light.
Position
Translation
Displays the light position function curve on a path. The values on the vertical axis of the Fcurve window range from 0 to 1, and represent percentages of the length of the path. This function curve acts like an object's translation function curve.
Explicit Translation
Displays all explicit translation function curves of the light.
Explicit Translation X/Y/Z
There are three function curves, one for each axis. The values on the vertical axis of the Fcurve window are global coordinates.
Interest
Translation
For spotlight only. Displays the function curve for the interest of a spotlight on a path. There is only one function curve. The values on the vertical axis of the Fcurve window range from 0 to 100, and represent percentages of the length of the path. This function curve acts like an object's translation function curve.
Explicit Translation
Displays all function curves for explicit translation of the spotlight's interest. There are three function curves, one for each axis. The values on the vertical axis of the Fcurve window are global coordinates.
Explicit Translation X/Y/Z
There are three function curves, one for each axis. The values on the vertical axis of the Fcurve window are global coordinates.
Cone Angle
For the spotlight type only. Displays the function curve for the cone of the selected spotlight. The values on the vertical axis of the Fcurve window are in degrees, and range from 0 to 180.
Spread Angle
For spotlight type only. Displays the function curve for the spread angle of the selected spotlight cone. There is only one function curve. The values on the vertical axis of the Fcurve window are in degrees.
Colour
Displays the function curves of the colour of the selected light. There are three function curves representing the RGB values. The values on the vertical axis of the Fcurve window represent the intensity of the colour component and normally range from 0 to 1. They can be higher for special purposes.
Falloff Start
Displays the function curve of the falloff starting point of a selected light. The values on the vertical axis of the Fcurve window represent the distance from the light to the falloff starting point.
Falloff End
Displays the function curve of the falloff ending point of a selected light. The values on the vertical axis of the Fcurve window represent the distance from the light to the falloff ending point.
Umbra
Displays the function curve for the umbra colour of the selected light. The values on the vertical axis of the Fcurve window represent the umbra colour, and range from 0 to 1.
Visibility
Displays the function curve of the selected light when hidden. This is a linear curve with two values: 0 represents visible and 1 represents hidden states.
Area Geometry Rotation
Displays the function curve for the xyz rotation of the mental ray area light's geometry (in degrees) around the light's origin. For spotlights, the origin is the spot itself.
Area Geometry Scaling
Displays function curve for the xy scaling factor of the mental ray area light's geometry. For the Sphere and Disk geometry areas, it represents the radius of the light. For the Rectangle geometry area, it represents the scaling of the width (x) and the height (y) of the rectangle before rotations are applied (if any).
