The FcrvEdit -> Swap Fcurve command in the Motion module lets you return to the previous Snapshot Fcurve version of your function curve (the auxiliary function curve). This is very useful for trying out different modifications on a function curve. It is essentially a way of "undoing" an edit to return to an earlier version.
When you choose this command, the auxiliary function curve is swapped with the currently selected function curve. When you choose this command again, the two function curves are swapped again. You can also perform this operation by selecting SWAP from the Fcurve window title bar.
The auxiliary function curves are always present during a session, even if you close the Fcurve window.
2. Choose the FcrvEdit -> Snapshot Fcurve command. This saves an auxiliary function curve.
3. Edit the function curve as desired. The auxiliary function curve, which has preserved the shape of the original function curve, appears as a dotted line.
4. To return to the auxiliary function curve, choose the FcrvEdit -> Swap Fcurve command.
