Edit -> Delete Point

The Edit -> Delete Point command in the Model module allows you to delete individual points on a curve, a face, or a polygon mesh object.

For surface objects, it allows you to delete whole rows of points in the U or V direction. To delete points on polygon mesh, you can also use the Polygon -> Vertex command.

Procedure

1. Select an object.

2. Choose the Edit -> Delete Point command.

3. Use any mouse button to pick a point to be deleted.

If you selected a surface, the following dialogue box is displayed, labelled either Patch Delete Row/Column or NURBS Delete Row/Column.

4. Select the direction (U or V) in which you want to delete the row of points.

On patches, if you are deleting a row made of a Bezier curve, you need to delete three such rows to maintain patch integrity. A message appears in the status line telling you how many rows to delete.
5. Press Esc to end the mode.
