Usage note and known problems for this program:

1. Some MPEG plackback boards only support one specific frame rate,
such as NTSC (30 frames/sec). Please make sure your MPEG playback can
automatically synchronize audio and video for various frame rates of
   MPEG files.

2. In some cases, MPEG files converted from AVI files may produce an
error message when played back from the Xing MPEG player. If this
occurs, press the ignore button on the message box, the MPEG file
   will still play equally well.

3. This version does not support some RealMagic demo MPEG files due to
   its proprietary format.

4. If you select files with the same type (e.g. *.MPG) but have
different properties, the properties options will not show. However,
when you convert the files, they will still be converted according to
   their existing properties.

5. Some MPEG files converted with the Layer1 audio option may not play
   back.

6. The Play button in Select Files dialog box is enabled only when one
*.avi or *.wav file is selected.

7. To install Win32s and run Win32-based applications, you need:
   - A system running Microsoft Windows for Workgroups or Windows 3.1x
in enhanced mode with paging (a swap file) enabled (default
     installation).
   - A 386, 486 or Pentium processor (386sx and 486sx processors are
     supported).
   - 6MB memory requirement (4MB for Win32 core and 2MB for OLE). (The
RAM request for this product is 8MB.)
   - 2.2MB of hard disk space for Win32s and another 2MB for OLE.
Please note that installing Win32s requires write access to the
Windows system directory, which may require special permission on a
   networked installation.

8. A common source of problems with Win32s is a bad display driver. Older
versions of the S3 display drivers are incompatible with Win32s, and
when a Win32 application (such as FreeCell) is run, errors ranging
from display corruption to system hangs are reported. Other video
cards that do not use S3 accelerator chips have been reported to have
   similar problems.
   - You may try to change "aperture" from "100" to "0" in the [display]
section of the SYSTEM.INI file then restart Windows. If this does
not help, obtain the latest S3 drivers. It is reported that S3
driver version 1.1 does not have such a problem.
   - To obtain newer drivers, contact your display card manufacturer.
Until you get drivers that work you can switch to the VGA or
     SuperVGA drivers included with Windows.

9. In some cases of Win32s, the program icons of MPEG Converter and
FreeCell (Win32s application) cannot be correctly showed in their
program group. If so, you can select the program icons and press
ALT-ENTER to change the icons after Win32s restart Windows.
