This is the beta version (v0.9) of Meridian 59, by Archetype Interactive.

System requirements
===================

To play Meridian 59, you must have at least the following hardware
and software:

486/66 or better running Windows 95, or Windows NT 3.51 or later
8M or more of RAM
video mode of 640x480 with 256 colors, or better
a SLIP/PPP Internet connection, or better
a mouse

A sound card is recommended. The game will play fastest in a graphics

Installation instructions
=========================

Make sure that when you decompress the distribution files, you create
subdirectories; if you are using pkunzip, you must give the -d option.

After you decompress the distribution files, run "setup" from the
command line. This will install Meridian 59 on your system. The game
requires about 15M of disk space, but the installation procedure
requires about an additional 10M of temporary space.

When the program is installed, click on the game icon in the Start
Menu under Programs (Windows 95, Windows NT 4.0) or in the Program
Manager (Windows NT 3.51). You can also move to the directory where
the game is installed and run meridian.exe from the command line.
